Privacy Policy
This page describes how Couple Crafts Minis handles information when you use the interactive tools and resources at tools.couplecraftsminis.com. No payment transactions take place on this site. Purchases are handled separately through Fourthwall or Patreon.
Who we are
Couple Crafts Minis is a Canadian creative channel and small business operated by its two founders. You can reach us through our contact form.
What information we use and why
Patreon login
Some tools on this site are available only to active members. To verify your membership, we use Patreon's login system (OAuth 2.0). When you log in with Patreon, Patreon shares the following with us:
- Your Patreon user ID
- Your email address
- Your membership status and tier
We use this information only to check whether you have access to member tools. We do not store this information in any database. It is held temporarily in a PHP session (a short-lived, encrypted file on our server) and is discarded when you close your browser or your session expires. Nothing from your Patreon login is written to our database or shared with any third party.
If you are a Fourthwall member rather than a Patreon member, you will be directed to couplecraftsminis.com to access member tools through the Fourthwall experience. No separate login is required on this site for Fourthwall members.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use this site. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data, including pages visited, time spent, device type, browser, and approximate geographic region. IP addresses are anonymized by default. This data is associated with your Google Analytics client ID, not with your name or Patreon account.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies to distinguish returning visitors and measure sessions. You can learn more about how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Web Hosting Canada) automatically records standard server logs for every request made to this site. These logs include IP addresses, pages requested, timestamps, and browser information. These logs are maintained by our host for security and technical purposes and are not used by us for marketing or profiling.
Cookies
This site uses two types of cookies:
- Session cookie (PHPSESSID): A temporary cookie placed when you log in with Patreon. It holds your session identifier so the site can remember that you are logged in during your visit. This cookie is deleted when you close your browser. It does not contain personal information.
- Google Analytics cookies: Set by Google to track anonymous usage. These may persist across sessions. See Google's privacy policy for details.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any other third-party cookies beyond those described above.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.
- We do not store your Patreon credentials, email, or membership details in our database.
- We do not process payments on this site.
- We do not build user profiles or track individual behaviour beyond anonymous analytics.
Third-party services
This site integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- Patreon: used for member authentication. Patreon Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager: used for anonymous usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
- Web Hosting Canada: our hosting provider, maintains standard server logs.
Your rights
As a Canadian resident, you have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you and to request corrections. In practice, we do not store personal information beyond what is described above. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us through our contact form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
